my first month!

without realizing it's a month since I've arrived in this family and my adventure has begun... it looks like such a short time but at the same time such a long one... when I think about the time I spent and the one I have to life I immediately decide to think about something else because it make me anxious... I fear that the next 9 months are not enought to know and live all that I want to and I fear to see them run too fastly like the first one... the wish to live every single moment and to don't lose time thinking about the past make me get up every morning to live as best I can my day! if someone ask me to have a resume of the last month I sure I'll give a positive answer...leaving my home and my routin wasn't so bad, I think it's mostly because I've decided to do this thing on my own and knowing what it mean, and also because a month looks only like a long holiday... another reason is that here I don't have much time to think about Italy and what my family and friends are doing, I'm too busy to try to understand the most of what people saying and to speak an acceptable Spanish (considering that the first days I was saying only "okay", "yes" or "no" I've improved!), I'm learning about school sistem and routine, I'm trying to get used to costums and approaches of people, and, not less important than others, I'm trying to survive with this warm weather... and all these things need time, energy and patience... yes, 'cause patience is the thing tha you mostly need during the first moments abroad... you need to be patient with the language, you need to be patient with the school, mostrly with new subjects, you need to be patient if you live with latinoamericans and their "mania" of doing everything with calm, very much calm, ( I think is the thing I mostly have to get used to), you need to be patient when everyone want to meet youy 'cause you are the news of the moment and you are like *wait a moment! let me know in which part of the world I'm!*, and mostrly you need to be patient when it's always more than 30°C, it's wet and as a result you have always bad hair (now the season of rain is beginning but the situation is always the sam, with the addition of puddles/oceans)... but at the end it's only question of time, to get used to and then everything will be better! 'cause there are also wonderful things that happen every day... like the smile of all the people that say you hello even if they've never spoken with you, the laughters with classmates that every day become more and more an essential part of this experience, the amazing landscapes that this country give to you, the food that is so good and I want to learn to cook very soon, the family that make me feel always more at home, the AFSers that understand you and always can say you what is better.... so, a firti mounth with some difficulties yes, but especially with many beautiful things...
now I only have to start this second month and try to make it better that the first one!

Live every single minute!

I'm so sorry for being in late but I had some problems with the comunications... anyway, now I'm here!
It was such a demanding and full week, but at the same time I'd realized what's happening! I'm really living in Honduras! we celebrated the day of the babies at school coordinating games for the little children, on Saturday I went to Choloma for the match of the soccer team of my city and we celebrated the birthday of my Honduran daddy, the Tuesday 15th of September was the indipendence day and in the morning we had a parade in the city centre with the guys of others college, for this reason I hadn't classes for the whole week and I went to Tela... I'm surprised about how every celebration is lived and heart-felt by all the people...I felt part of this Country too even if I'm here just for few weeks! I think this is one of the things that I like most of this place: the warmth of the people! but I can't forget the amazing landscapes that make me feel in a movie (for Tela's beaches I let the photos talk)...in addition to all theese beautiful things there are also some complications... the language, even if now it's better, often make me stopped and doesn't let me feel at ease, homesick is coming a bit (but just a little ahahah ) and I've discovered the "bad face" of this country... but everything is part of the experience, I take everything with the awareness that it's the past and I have to look forward, knowing that I must and I want to live every minute of this amazing year that is waiting for me!

Step for step...

Ciao a tutti!

P.s. presentazione dell'italia pronta!

Hi to everyone!
I'm so sorry if this post won't be fine but I can't always have the inspiration... There are three weeks since I've left and this city is becoming my new home... More time I spend here and more I understand that it is the right choice I had to do! With the family now that I speak and understand more Spanish it's going better and I feel no more a red fish in an aquarium hahaha at school it's the same... After the fist days of "orientation" I've started to speak how I use to do and to understand how the things are... For example I've understand that teaches are like a friend you can have a joke with or someone to whom share your love, and that like a real latinoamericans they don't know what is it be on time... They take everything more easily and they don'r care if something begin an hour later it's supposed to be... Now it's a personal goal stop to be ready before the time hahaha
So, with more Spanish in my head, the days at school, the matches at the stadium and the lunches with the family I'm beginning to feel I'm the right place and less "the new Italian girl"!
See you soon :)

P.s. Italy's presentation is ready!

Something to know

After two weeks in this beautiful country I can tell you something for answers to your questions...
The school is bilingual, so grammar, literature, biology and chemistry are in English and the other subjects like Spanish, Maths, Phisics and economy are in Spanish... The school-day startes at 7.00am, finishes at 2.30pm and is composed by 10 lessons of 40 minutes, a break and the lunch... I can tell that I really like this subdivision because it let us keep more attention during the lessons and it makes the day more dynamic... And, obviously, we have to wear the uniform...
Il cibo, unfortunately, it's really good! We eat meat, mostly chicken (fried is amazing!), tortillas, banana cooked in different ways and baleadas with cream of beans, cheese and eggs...
I think the best part are people! Here everyone is friendly and kind, my classmates are a bit crazy and the have a really particular relation with teachers... During the lessons everyone is ready for help others and have a laugh!
The culture! This week I have my second ufficial celebration for the day of flag with authorities and students from others college... I also went to the concert of a famous honduregnan artist and I assisted to the football mach of the city team where I took a photo with a player ahahah
Well, this country is surprising me every day! I hope to have satisfited some doubts, see you soon with more informations :*
